Man, lots of interesting stuff here. I better speak up, because I have seen a few of my ideas pop up here, hahahaa.

So, I just bought a 36 three window. Gonna just get it running and enjoy while I chip away at her, slowly evolving her as a nice clean not over done custom. I do plan to take a crack at making my own grill. While I have a few ideas that may be more dramatic then what I'll probable keep. But I do plan to hav a little fun.
I too am a giant fan of all of Goerge Duvall's work, and plan to have a little bit of his flavor, but pulling the reigns back a little. I just don't like too over the top....sometimes on other peoples cars... but this one I want to still remain simple. I have toyed with the idea of cutting a 38 standard hood vents down, reshaping, shorten, then plate and make into an insert. I'm not sure if thats what you gents thought was going on in the grill above, smaller version? Obivouly, if I did this version, it might bring a little more bling to the car, so not sure if It will happen, but I do believe I will be exsperimenting with this and a few other ideas. I love the 38's.

In the end I feel I will probable wind up building my own grill rather then adapting something else.

Can't wait!
