Thanks J.B. I'm anxious to see yours all finished up too! looks good so far!

I have stalled progress due to some transmission issues that I needed to figure out....
finally decided the only way to go about it is to just dig in!!

Hopefulyl still I"ll have this sucker on the road by the time the weather gets warm....

The starter pedal wouldnt engage with the insides..... turns out it was a 72¢ spring....
whoever rebuilt it put one in there with too many spirals. inturn it couldnt compress all the way when the pedal was returned to the "up" position. after a bit I guess it smashed the spring, taking away its ability to engage the starter drive. Unfortunately it was on the inside of the case, so I had to get it all apart. I have one on order, should be here tomorrow or thursday... so hopefully everything will be fine then, if i get it back together correctly....

unless your really set on a open primary , i would cover the clutch . rode open for many years & have lots of levies eat by the clutch . hurts also ................... great bike .. steve
